A Note For The People Pushing Cancer Cures...

Here you go, an example of an actual pathology report:

It took me all of 30 seconds to do that. Anyone reading that should have at least a vague idea that, yes, I have cancer, in particular a germ cell tumor.

All readers  should disregard all responses to the previous post claiming they have a cancer cure, because while they have time to push the cure...they don't have the 30 seconds to show they ever had cancer in the first place.

Let's take an example of how this works, in more detail. A number of people have pushed FenBen, a dog dewormer that, maybe, will cure cancer. Trouble is, there's no actual evidence that it actually cured anyone who had cancer in the first place.

Oh, yeah, you've got that one guy who says it did, a number of folks flapping their gums...but extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence. I'm desperate enough that I'll take miniscule evidence.

I'm desperate, so I've used Fenben. I've used it for 6 months. And, WOW, it caused me to regrow my right leg.

Believe me? Why not, I just told you, and that's the level of evidence that's provided by most miracle cures, even though it would take all of 30 seconds to show some actual evidence that I regrew my leg.

Heck, I'll even do that. Here's a pic from 6 months ago:

Now here's a more recent pic:

And, just like that, I've provided more evidence that FenBen regrows lost legs than it cures cancer. And, no, it's not evidence at all.

  1. Still pushing for the truth. That's real spirit.

Thanks for all your efforts to shine light into dark places, Professor.

    1. I'm trying. The trouble is, half the loonies who posted on the previous will read the above and go "wow, we can regrow lost limbs now! Better get FenBen before the FDA finds out!"

  2. I only know you through your blog, so not really at all, but I am going to miss you. Thanks for putting yourself out here in the interwebs, where the dumb and the idiots roam.

  3. I have enjoyed your musings (and agreed with most!) for a long time. I will greatly miss your voice of reason. Please keep up the good fight and know many are in your corner. You are the lone light in the darkness that higher ed (and I use the term loosely) has become. I hope your passion is continued through others.

  4. Just came across your blog. She fought the Syracuse school system for years so she understands your frustration. On another note. My wife and I have been watching Dr. Randall Tent's you tube videos. Check them out when you get a chance.

    1. Thanks...at least he isn't pitching cancer cures. Sadly, that's what I need at this point.

    1. Yeah, that's a shame. Although it was fun watching the libs lose their crap when Trump awarded Limbaugh a medal, I bet that ride hasn't ended yet.

    2. The ride never ends. Sometimes you swap horses, sometimes you swap riders. The ride goes on.

  6. Came across your blog by chance. Here's an article on biochemical pathways you may find useful: https: //bit.ly/2UFO2zA If I were you I'd drink freshly juiced wheat grass every day - lots of it

  7. Doom, do you have a book planned of all the current blog articles? Who is continuing your work/website?

    1. I'm far past the point of a book, though I might put a PDF up of one or two I haven't published yet. There won't be anyone to maintain this, so I suspect spammers will take over the comments at some point...not much I can do about that.

  8. Professor Doom, thank you for being a beacon of common sense among the insanity that passes as higher ed these days. Though I came across your articles years ago, just recently I found your blog again and started following your posts. I am heartbroken to find out what happened, and I regret not stating this sooner, but I appreciate your insights and I will miss you.

  9. Please put up you PDF...very MANY people appreciate what
you have done here. I was once a college student and have
rubbed shoulders with academia in my IT career enough since
then to see the implosion of "higher education" myself as well....sigh. I was very very luck in grad school to have
several good professors in the mid 90's but even then it
    was going down hill....
