There Is A College Course on “Problematizing Whiteness”

By Professor Doom

In my book I detail how academic fraud is systemic in higher education, detailing how our corrupted accreditation system and corrupt “leadership” have allowed what used to be the greatest university system into the world to debase into predominantly a massive scam to indebt and enslave our kids.

That was over 5 years ago, and things have changed. I’m strongly considering writing a new edition, with at least one new chapter discussing how corruption of the system has led to a fresh debasement: our campuses are turning into indoctrination centers, engulfing students into a self-destructive and academically irrelevant system of belief.

It used to be every college course was designed with an academic, or at least professional, purpose in mind. No course could exist unless it had a good answer to the question of “what future improvement does this course prepare you for?” With ideology now trumping academics, this question is no longer relevant, and the only question that now matters seems to be “does this reinforce our ideology and indoctrination?” A recently highlighted course demonstrates what I say:

One might hope from the title that perhaps this course would look at how “whiteness” is being falsely demonized and misrepresented in our media narrative, to prepare students to fight the constant lies being forced on them every day. Such hopes are quickly dashed:

CU Denver ethnic studies class: ‘educating for racial justice’

In March, I wrote on the “American Political Thought” course offered by the political science department at the University of Colorado Denver that deliberately removed all white males and their contributions from the curriculum,..

Wow, imagine trying to remove all black males from the curriculum…the shrieking in protest could be (rightfully) heard from orbit. Why is this type of racism so tolerated? This course indoctrinates students, often white students, into hating themselves and the majority population. How could this possibly prepare them for anything more?

One of the commenters immediately spells out what a disaster it is for students to be taking this course:

As an employer I will start to require transcripts to see if the applicant chose any of these courses as an elective. That applicant will be promptly eliminated from consideration. Too great a risk.

So apparently this course will be preparing students for complete unemployability. Whether the employer is black or white, he’s still making a sound business decision, as you simply can’t have employees who have been trained to hate and disrespect a broad swath of the customer base. Of course, if the employer is white, he can’t hire people trained like this because they’re very like to hurt him in some way because of his skin color.

A college course is supposed to have college work and college material in it.  A look at the syllabus will tell us what we really are going to learn in this course. Before going on, I want to emphasize anyone who wants a college education can do so without going into debt, as many colleges put their entire curriculum and syllabi for courses on line. Both teacher and grader of this course are almost certainly not white males, incidentally.

Let’s start with a quick course description:

Critical Whiteness Studies provides a deeper analysis of race that accounts for both sides of the race coin: the plight of people of color AND how Whites are complicit.

Um…citation needed? “People of color” in the United States are much, much, better off than the “people of color” in Africa, where whites are far fewer in number. In light of this empirical and easily observed evidence, I’m having a tough time accepting the premise of the course, and I don’t see how this could be approved in any legitimate academic setting.

The course comes with a warning:

No permission to record any lecture or discussion without my written approval first.

And yet again I see reason to disallow this course on campus. Granted, such recordings should be made with permission as a matter of politeness, but I worry that the un-truths discussed here would cause problems if the people paying for the teaching (i.e., taxpayers) knew the kind of “stuff” they were being forced to pay for.

This is, incidentally, a 4000 level, senior level course, and does have a number of books assigned. That’s promising, at least, though I certainly have some concerns over the kind of ideological material in those books (to judge by the titles).

There don’t appear to be any actual assignments, however, so (thankfully?) the students can do well in the course even if they don’t read the books. For the most part, students will sit in the classroom and talk about their feelings.

     What are the objectives here?

I respect that this topic is so blatantly fake that their “academic language” (aka “newspeak”) is so dense that it needs to be translated to “everyday speak” for anyone to make sense of it. That said, this is a senior level course intended for students who’ve been studying this stuff for 3 years. 3 years of training, enough to become quite conversational in any language on Earth, is not enough to learn even the rudiments of a discipline which obviously has worked quite hard to make itself as vague as possible.

Again I wonder what these courses are for, if after three years the courses don’t even prepare students for the courses. What?

Let’s just look at one discussion topic:

Theme 2: How Does One Become White And Uphold Whiteness? Psychoanalytics and Dialectics Of Whiteness?

Wait…you can become white? If that’s all there is to it, then why not just declare everyone white and call it a day? The “oppression” would end overnight and then we wouldn’t need these courses.

Ultimately, the issue remains: how does this material prepare anyone for anything but ideological servitude?

  1. Universities need courses on 'far-right/far-left privilege' and 'coercive studies' exposing their role as an historical/ psychological condition harming all. The only problematic here is that the far-left has a problem in that every time White workers get true democracy and open debate, they move to the freer-market/choice center and crush the far-left. Worse, non-Whites worldwide want to be like them ASAP. Would examining THAT be an interesting and useful course? I'm open to suggestions. Some thoughts below you might enjoy. Keep up the good work and stay healthy.--MG

RE this timely information at http://professorconfess.blogspot.com/2019/07/there-is-college-course-on_28.html ...Non-libertarian socialism and communism have always been a divisive-dependent politics of fraud or--words at Lenin's funeral--"unlimited coercion" to attain their malleable ends, which are really a secularized version of the worst religious fanaticisms. This contrasts with our Libertarian vision of aiding people in developing libertarian-inspired non-coercive and voluntarist areas of living, worthy as aids and bulwarks of philosophic/scientific study and exchange, from eco-homes to free to post-PhD colleges to communities areas on. Their strategy has always been to demonize, marginalize, and discourage the actually competent. The top 30% of IQ (110+) able to readily absorb 'college-knowledge' and the 2% of geniuses often have enough problems from their uncomprehending if well-intended fellow citizens of less IQ without dealing with these extremists.

The aim of such courses is the far-left one to always divide...whether by class, gender, ethnicity, race. Read the old socialist platforms and the focus in 1900 was repressing the Blacks and up with the Whites. Now it is simply the reverse, and a core tactic is to teach the reverse of the truth initially by finding 'problematics.' Who knows, next decade it will be reversed again. The only aim here is divide and blame freedom for their sins. Such courses should be allowed but not, as is happening, be made--forcibly and by guile--the standard as others are 'deplatformed' for using science, lively and OPEN debate, and facts.

Libertarians are getting my concept we're in the 'Ice War' or World War V...against the mentally ill and often mid-High IQ fanatics within every nation. Once you realize these are all tactics of invasion and infiltration against the reasonable center let alone libertarian-oriented leadership in every field, it all makes sense. It becomes predictable in this view.

Also notice that by 'White' they don't mean Indians, Semites, or even East Euros. They mean pro-science liberal-center 'WE' West Euros whose best in will and IQ settled the Americas and most of the US and liberated the world from the coercive 'socialisms' of old from tribal to feudal. These old totalitarianisms the far-left now praises, against what de Toqueville, now rarely taught, called the 'American Race.'

This War will be won by the spread of reason, rights-awareness, and data on results, what libertarians call the '3R's'...a war of philosophy and recognizing these people have mental conditions brought on by things like family abuse, a war of psychology as well.

  2. II- Some Good News

People are stepping forward by improving home autonomy by things such as home-schools focused on Great Books of the West and other cultures; logic/critical thinking K-14 or reforms as reformed low-cost college e-learning; and data on the truth with things like the web making research easier than ever. It is winning hence their growing panic evidenced by courses as these that criminalize recording them to evade critique.

Libertarian Arts is a sub-discipline of the Liberal Arts. The first since 1969 is tasked to help develop philosophically inclined, non-coercive, and prepped citizens focused on and able to protect good process, in the context of the second building liberal citizens able to help lead and lead-use the resultant democratic garden-city republics and study/trade associations. And thigs are happening. At my local college I take courses as a retiree. In a recent class the professor (an avowed socialist who in contrast to the course explains his views, not attempt to brainwash but invites lively critique in contrast to the CU Denver 'don't film me' course) deferring to me acknowledged a 'small' libertarian factor. I asked the class use the 'Nolan Quiz' to determine Libertarian orientation. In 1969 classes had maybe 1 person. 1/3rd of the class tested in the Libertarian quadrant. Several then volunteered they had voted Libertarian or were reading libertarian-influenced authors in fields from mathematics to personal improvement. A pre-law dual-enrollment (High School getting AA who had just been admitted to an Ivy league) student volunteered she had never actually read the Constitution or studied logic/scientific method as such until prompted by a libertarian fan. (I also directed her to your site, BTW.)The students were delighted that the old fogey in the front was a key founder of the modern Libertarian and Green (in our original conception, for those interested in local legitimate libertarian eco-socialism and secular kibbutz/commune living) movements. The professor, BTW, now acknowledges a 'growing' libertarian factor and said nice things about Gary Johnson, even denouncing the 'Aleppo' incident as an ambush and using it to illustrate authoritarian control in media.

What to do? Besides bettering the home, spreading the 'Quiz'and speaking up, I think anyone here can support discussion towards a 1st Amendment in all nations and local job-ready true liberal colleges without fanatics at the helm in every country and locality of about 1 MM. This for me is a key focus. A 'fairness doctrine' reflecting the even 45% each division of populations into conservative and progressive interests and the increasingly 10+% libertarian fans in faculties and courts would be true 'non-discrimination.' Urging colleges and courts to adopt it as an informal goal will only sharpen everyone's arguments towards the truth and civil process of dialogue. That is multi-generational work. Good things are happening, but it starts at home and then if one is inclined to help society with these ideas there is work to do.

Though, to be fair, every time one of these zany courses gets out there, we get more inquiries on Libertarianism from alarmed students, and troubled administrators and parents.

  3. Sigh. All this began at Berkeley way back when I was there in 1969. These people are violent and INSANE. They even chased me out via death threats while waving the Mao Little Red Book. One of them assassinated a young (Japanese ethnic) cop who stopped by my home to chat.

    1. Oof, Wiki? They're pretty unreliable on anything political (and too much is political these days...). Their latest idiocy was scrubbing the Clinton ties to Epstein off his page, while leaving Trump's ties there.
